Tariq Aziz, the first anchor of Pakistan and the first announcer of the establishment of PTV, has passed away.

He was 84 years old. Tariq Aziz started his career with Radio Pakistan and he has the honor of being the first anchor of Pakistan Television (PTV).
He also hosted a quiz show on PTV called Auction House, which lasted for four decades. He was also awarded the Pride of Performance for his technical services in 1992. He also acted in films and his first film "Humanity" was released in 1967. Apart from this, he also showed the essence of acting in Birthday, Type of Time, Katari, Chirag Kahan Roshni Kahan, Har Gaya Man. Leading actor and host Tariq Aziz also wrote poetry in Urdu and Punjabi. In recognition of Tariq Aziz's services, he was awarded the Medal of Excellence. Received an honors award and remained associated with PTV from the first to the last day of his career.                                                Tariq Aziz started his career with Radio Pakistan Lahore and when Pakistan Television started in 1964, he was one of the first personalities to work there. Tariq Aziz also hosted the first broadcasts of Pakistan Television. He got his real fame on Pakistan Television from the program "Auction House" which started in 1975. This program which lasted for more than 40 years was later renamed as "Bazm Tariq Aziz". Also worked in movies.
A collection of Tariq Aziz's columns was published under the name of "Dastan" while a collection of Punjabi poetry was published under the name of "Hamzad Da Dukh". In 1997, he was elected a member of the National Assembly on a PML-N ticket.
