According to the lesson website, orders have been issued by the Ministry of Manpower that all government employees in Makkah and Jeddah should not come to the offices, but work at home. Employees in other cities will be on duty in the offices with 50 per cent attendance as per the old directive and will work from the rest of the houses. Retail and wholesale shops in Jeddah will not be closed after the curfew is tightened. Ministry of Commerce spokesman Abdul Rahman al-Hussein clarified that curfew will be in place in Jeddah from June 6 to June 20 from 3 pm to 6 am, however, business will be allowed during the easing of the curfew.
Shops will be able to provide home delivery services during curfew hours. If shopkeepers have their own home delivery service, they can deliver orders to customers through it. Alternatively, home delivery services will be available through dedicated applications. "All retail and wholesale stores will be open to customers during leisure time, including car workshops and car dealerships."
All stores will have to take coronary precautions and ensure social distance and adherence to masks.
It should be noted that the Saudi government has once again imposed a curfew in Jeddah after the increase in Corona cases, after which the mosques in Jeddah have also been closed for fifteen days. According to Al-Arabiya News, the Ministry of Saudi Arabia Religious affairs have banned all mosques in Jeddah from offering five daily congregational prayers from Saturday, ordering mosques to be open only for the call to prayer.
On Friday, the Ministry of Religious Affairs issued a notice to the management of the mosques, saying that in view of the rapid spread of the corona virus, only azan should be called from the mosques for 15 days on 14 Shawwal 1441 AH.
