(Latest newspaper from newstime-June 16- 2020)The Supreme Court has remarked that if the reference against Justice Faiz Issa is found to be malicious, the case may be dismissed. A 10-member larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial heard the case of Justice Qazi Faiz Issa. Justice Umar Ata Bandial said that the petitioner Faiz Issa has accused him of gathering evidence in a malicious and illegal manner. There are legal errors in the reference. If so, the case may be dismissed.
Justice Omar Ata Bandial remarked that there are still many errors in the reference, the ownership of London properties has been recognized, the question in the case is about the purchase of property, the petitioner Faiz Issa did not refuse to mention the purchase of property resources. It may be that the FBR will be allowed to decide the matter first, if the decision is against the wife then it will go to the Judicial Council, maybe the income tax will say that the sources are correct, maybe the tax authority Judicial Council may or may not agree with the decision.
Forough Naseem said that if the FBR is given the power to decide, what will be the time frame, if the matter is left to the FBR, how much time will be given to the tax authority, give me time to consult the Prime Minister and the President. Justice Omar Atabandial said that he would ask the FBR to decide on the matter during the holidays. You should first take instructions on the FBR issue from the Prime Minister or the President. Justice Maqbool Baqer said that the question is whether the judges are responsible for the properties of the wife. Forough Naseem said that this is not a question.
