Talks between the two countries began at the diplomatic level and included a high-level Israeli security team, US officials and Saudi officials. The agreement that is being sought through these negotiations is being called the historic agreement of the century. The news agency says in its report that Jordan strongly opposed any change in the Islamic Adoment Council in Al-Aqsa Mosque, due to Turkey's growing role in the holy site. According to the report, the Jordanian team opposed the expansion of the Islamic Endowment Council after the unrest at Bab al-Rahma and the metal detector crisis of 2017, and went against the Oslo Accords and unanimously agreed that The council will include Palestinian representatives.
According to the diplomat, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates are also in the agreement with Saudi Arabia. However, Israeli government officials have denied any such talks.
