(Latest newspaper from newstime-June 6- 2020)Leading Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui's niece has accused her uncle of sexual harassment. Speaking in an online interview, the actor's niece said, "I was 9 years old when my uncle started harassing me. When I was in Delhi, I was facing more difficulties in this regard."
The actress' niece Sasha Siddiqui said that when I told Nawaz-ud-Din Siddiqui about the whole affair, he sent me away saying, "He is my brother, he can't do that." Sasha Siddiqui further said that I told everyone in the house that this was happening to me, my own uncle was harassing me, but no one believed me. The actress' niece has revealed that until three months before her marriage, her uncle wanted Sasha Siddiqui to have a physical relationship with her. Sasha Siddiqui said that after my refusal, my uncle started beating me and after that I had marks of his torture on my body. He further said that women have been abused in his family before but no one spoke on the issue as everyone was afraid of him.
It may be recalled that a few days ago, his wife had divorced actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui. His wife also said that the reason for the divorce was that women were abused in the actor's house. Nawaz-ud-Din Siddiqui's wife said that my husband never raised his hand against me, but he was constantly tortured by his family members which was no longer tolerable.
Sasha Siddiqui has revealed that in the family of actor Nawaz-ud-Din Siddiqui, women are not treated properly, while talking, she said that when the violence became too much for me, I asked my fianc to come and pick me up. Because I'm not leaving here anymore. Speaking on the occasion, Sasha Siddiqui said that she has also lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police in this regard.
