US stock market closes on the rise

The US stock market closed higher, leading to a decline in the corona lockdown in many countries. New York's Dow Jones Industrial Average index rose 1.5 percent to close at 24,133.78 points.

The S&P 500 Index rose 1.5 percent to 2,879.57 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index rose 1.1 percent to 8,730.16 points. Earlier, the European stock market closed higher. London's FTSE 100 Index rose 1.6 percent. Closed at 5846.79 points. The Frankfurt DAX 30 index rose 3.1 percent to close at 10,659.99 points. The Paris CAC 40 index rose 2.6 percent to 4,505.26 points, while the Eurostocks 50 index rose 2.6 percent to close at 2,882.09 points.
