Under the Ehsas Aid Program, financial assistance of Rs 3.5 billion has been distributed among 260,000 registered beneficiaries so far, spokesman Faisalabad Divisional Administration said.

Spokesperson of Faisalabad Divisional Administration said that in all four districts of Faisalabad Division, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot, distribution of relief funds at the rate of Rs. And so far more than Rs. 265,000 has been distributed to more than Rs. 3.5 billion.

                                                   He said that a total of 181 counters have been set up at 52 centers across the division where implementation of the second phase of Ehsas program has also started and assistance is being provided to the newly registered persons expeditiously after biometric verification. He said that 134,400 beneficiaries have received financial assistance from 20 centers in Faisalabad district, 34,599 from 6 centers in Chiniot, 57,692 from 14 centers in Jhang and 33,808 from 12 centers in Toba Tek Singh district.

He said that during the biometric verification, some deserving persons have been paid Rs. 9,000 as past arrears and all this process is going on in a transparent manner. He said that at the entrances of the four districts, there is a social distance to prevent corona and sanitizers are also available to disinfect hands while masks are also provided to those who do not wear masks. He said that the process of comprehensive monitoring of all the centers would continue.
