Chaudhry Muhammad Fargham, Vice Chairman, Pakistan Poultry Association (North Region), said that poultry farmers were facing severe problems due to the corona virus. In order to increase the consumption of poultry meat, the government is urged to open all restaurants / hotels, big and small, while maintaining social distance, and to allow iftar parties so that poultry farmers can continue their business.
In his statement, he said that a plan of action should be formulated or SOPs should be issued so that there is no danger of spread of Corona virus and people can continue their employment. He hoped that the government would consider our request.
One-day-old chickens, total poultry, poultry and eggs should be allowed to be exported to Afghanistan, bank loans should be rescheduled and medium-sized companies should be given a new loan of Rs 400 million at a markup of two to three per cent. Electricity bills should be deferred and paid in one year without penalty, import duty on soybean meal, vaccines, medicines and all kinds of poultry machinery should be abolished.
