The sermon will explain how to protect society from the epidemic while adhering to individual responsibilities to prevent corona, and to take strict precautionary measures to avoid the epidemic. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, instructions have been issued to the management of 3,869 mosques in different parts of the country for Friday prayers.                          Apart from the mosques, other small mosques where Friday prayers are not usually offered will also have temporary Friday prayers so that the people living in these areas do not have difficulty in going to the mosque and the people in the mosques. The Ministry of Islamic Affairs further said that the small mosques that have been temporarily allowed to offer Friday prayers in different cities of the country include 656 in Riyadh, 455 in Makkah, 165 in Madinah, 485 in Sharqiya and Qasim 205. , Al-Jawf 92, Asir 400, Baha 84, Hail 257, Tabuk 74, Jazan 816, Najran 60 and 121 small mosques in the northern border. However, after about two and a half months, Friday prayers will be offered in all mosques of the country tomorrow (Friday) following precautionary measures.
It should be noted that the Saudi government has developed a new mechanism for prayers and worship in mosques. Mosques will be opened fifteen minutes before the call to prayer and mosques will be closed 10 minutes after the obligatory prayers. There will be a gap of 10 minutes between the call to prayer and the iqamah. All doors and windows of mosques will be kept open during prayers. Copies of the Koran and books have been temporarily confiscated from mosques.
Under the new mechanism, the space between two rows of worshipers will be left empty while one row between two rows will be left blank. All water coolers in mosques will be switched off. Distribution of any kind of food items will not be allowed in mosques. The ablution rooms of mosques will be kept closed during prayers. Citizens have been instructed to come to mosques after performing ablutions.
