15 European Parliament members express concern over worst human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir

(Latest newspaper from newstime-June 3- 2020)Fifteen members of all major political parties in the European Parliament have written a letter to top EU officials urging them to take up the issue of the worst human rights violations in occupied Kashmir with the Indian government. In his letter, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell called on the Kashmiri people to ensure the protection of all their fundamental rights, including self-determination.
MPs who wrote letters to top European Commission officials in Fabio Massimo, Bettina Vollath, Helmut Scholz, Maria Arena, Daniela Rondinelli, Javier Nart, Carles Puigdemont, Antoni Comin I Oliveres, Clara Ponsati Oblos, Alvina, Ernest Urt Wallace, Rosa D, Amato Mick and Manuel Bompard.
The MPs termed the disputed Kashmir dispute as the main cause of constant tension and said that the people of Occupied Kashmir have been enduring unbearable atrocities for the last seven decades in pursuit of their freedom and fundamental rights as confirmed by various human rights organizations and The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights is also reporting for 2018 and 2019.
