Yemen's parties should resolve their differences through comprehensive dialogue, UN Secretary-General

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called on Yemen's parties to resolve their differences through comprehensive dialogue. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's spokesman Stephen Dujarric said the secretary-general called on all Yemeni parties, including the southern groups, to stay in touch and resolve their differences and legitimate concerns of all Yemenis through comprehensive dialogue.
He called for efforts to stop the spread of the corona virus and rehabilitate flood victims, including the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement. He said the Secretary-General stressed the need to maintain the integrity of Yemeni institutions and said that the conflict in Yemen could only be resolved through a political solution. It should be noted that the Riyadh Agreement was signed between the Yemeni government and the Southern Transitional Council in November last year, the main points of which were the establishment of an effective government on an equal footing between the north and south of Yemen and all under the Ministry of Interior and Defense. This includes the withdrawal of troops.
