A further 278 people in Vietnam have tested positive for the corona virus, including several Pakistanis. According to the Ministry of Health, the number of people infected with the deadly virus in the country has risen to 2,892 since new patients were diagnosed with corona. Health Minister Dr. Basil Al-Sabah said that the latest victims of Corona include Indians, Bengalis, Kuwaitis and Pakistanis.
252 patients became infected with this contagious disease due to their association with Corona victims locally. Thirteen people were found to be infected with Corona on their return from abroad. In addition, the other 13 patients have not yet been diagnosed with the virus. Dozens of Corona patients are currently in the ICU, some in critical condition.
A total of 43 corona patients recovered in the country yesterday, bringing the total number of those who have recovered to 656. These recovered patients will be sent back home after being kept under medical supervision for two more days.
Hundreds of suspected patients have been shifted from quarantine to general ward after failing corona test. The number of deaths from corona in the country has risen to 19. Among them are a Kuwaiti woman, three Egyptians, three Indians and three Bangladeshis. The Kuwaiti government has tightened controls on Corona. The country has an 11-hour curfew and a complete ban on public and entertainment gatherings.
All restaurants, cafes, malls, shopping malls and bazaars as well as clubs, cinemas and salons are closed. The two areas of Jalib al-Shaykh and Mehboola, where a large number of foreigners live, have been completely closed. Dr. Basil Al-Sabah has appealed to the patients recovering from the corona virus to donate their blood so that the doctors can use their plasma in the treatment of other infected patients. The first patient appeared on February 24.
