The French president has proposed a plan to ease the lockdown

French President Emmanuel Macron has proposed a plan to ease the country's ongoing lockdown against the corona virus, which will be implemented in various parts of France, but strict restrictions will remain in place in areas where the epidemic has spread. According to media reports, the French president, while addressing the parliament, presented the details of the plan and said that the elementary schools will be gradually opened from May 11, after which the middle schools will be opened with a gap of one week.
The decision on high schools will be taken at the end of the month. Shops and bazaars will also be allowed to open but bars and restaurants will not be opened. Shopkeepers will urge customers to wear masks within their premises.

Masks will be required on public transport and in all schools, except for schools for very young children. In addition, the French president proposed extending the state of emergency in the country, which is currently until July 23.                                                                                                                 The government could restrict transportation and businesses in case of an emergency. He warned that lockdowns would not be eased if the spread of the infection in France did not reach 3,000 per day by May 11. The Corona counter-plan will be debated and voted on in the French National Assembly.
