Strict implementation of Nagha system to ensure equitable supply of water available to citizens during Ramadan: Asadullah Khan

Asadullah Khan, Managing Director, Water Board, has instructed the Water Board officers and engineers to strictly implement the Nagha system to ensure equitable supply and distribution of water available to the citizens during Ramadan. All the departments should be in touch with each other, keep in touch with the elected representatives, local bodies, district and civic bodies at all times.
He gave these instructions along with water board officers, elected representatives and area elders during a surprise inspection of water board installations and ongoing works last night.                Deputy Chief Engineer Saeed Sheikh, Superintending Engineer Asif Qadri, Executive Engineer Sohail Atib, Syed Muhammad Ahsan and other engineers and officers were also present on the occasion. The MD said that the water board has far less water than the demand of the city, water consumption has increased due to Ramadan and Korana epidemic in the city, however, the water board to ensure a fair supply of water to all corners of the city.
He said that with the strict supervision of Nagha system and valves system, it would be possible to deliver the water available through the lines to the last and high-altitude areas of the city. According to him, the supply has been ensured while the city's drainage system has also been kept functional. In this regard, the fearless and selfless services of the employees of the Water Board are commendable. And use frugally.
